Full Wheel Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana)

Backbend

An advanced backbend that creates a full arch of the entire spine, opening the chest, shoulders, and hip flexors while building tremendous strength.

📋 How to Do It

Lie on back. Place hands by ears, fingers pointing toward shoulders. Plant feet hip-width. Press firmly into hands and feet, lifting hips and head. Straighten arms fully. Press thighs parallel, roll inner thighs in.

💡 Tips

Warm up thoroughly with bridge, camel, and sphinx first. Engage legs as strongly as arms. Keep breathing throughout. Come down slowly, tucking chin.

⏱️ Duration / Frequency

Hold 3-8 breaths; practice 1-3 times
