Svarga Dvijasana
An advanced bound standing balance that opens the hips and shoulders while requiring strength and flexibility. A peak pose in many flow sequences.
Opens hips and shoulders, strengthens standing leg, improves balance and concentration, stretches hamstrings and inner thighs.
From Bound Extended Side Angle, shift weight to the front foot. Slowly straighten the bound leg up toward the sky. Keep the standing leg strong. Use a strap around the raised foot if needed. Hold 5-10 breaths.
