An arm balance lifting the entire body off the mat while seated cross-legged. Requires core strength and wrist stability.
Strengthens wrists, arms, and core, builds body awareness, prepares for jump-backs in Vinyasa, develops concentration.
Sit in Lotus or cross-legged. Place hands beside hips on the mat. Press down, engage core and lift the body off the mat. Keep shoulders down, gaze forward. Hold 5-10 seconds and repeat 3-5 times.
